Do you buy diamonds, old jewelry, and things like silverware and silver trays?

Yes we do. We pay you fairly for your precious metal items and round shaped diamonds weighing 1 carat or larger. And if you prefer store credit for your items, we will give you an extra 25%.

What is your Layaway Policy?

A deposit equal to 1/2 of the total purchase price is required. The unpaid balance must be paid in regular monthly installments. The minimum monthly payment required is 1/10 of the total unpaid balance unless that figure is $15 or less, in which case the total balance is due. You may always pay more than the minimum required payment. If you fail to pay any installment in full when due, we may, at our option, return the merchandise to stock with a restocking charge equal to 1/5 of the total purchase price.

What is your Return Policy?

An item may be returned within 90 days of the original purchase date and if the item is in “like new” condition you will receive a full refund or a store credit. Used items may be returned at the discretion of Scoville Jewelers, and will be subject to a restocking fee equal to a minimum of 20% of the original purchase price.  All sales on Special Orders are FINAL. No refunds will be given.

Do you do Appraisals?

Yes, we do appraisals. We have a qualified appraiser that is not on site.  All items to be appraised are sent off  the premises for appraisal. We mail the items via insured registered mail or FedEx. Appraisals take approximately 2 -3 weeks.

Do you do Engraving?

Yes, we do engraving. For items purchased at Scoville Jewelers the first 5 letters are free and each additional letter is $1.75 each. For merchandise not purchased at Scoville Jewelers there is a minimum charge of $15.00 (up to 12 letters) and each additional letter is $1.75 each. A regular engraving job takes 7-10 days. Additional express services are available for an additional fee.

Do you do Custom Designs?

Yes, we do Custom Design pieces. Just stop in and speak with any sales associate. Once the original piece is discussed your salesperson will work with you and a jeweler to create your unique design. A custom piece takes approximately 4-10 weeks to be completed, depending on the complexity of the design.

Do you replace Watch Batteries?

Yes, We do replace watch batteries. Once a watch battery is replaced you have a 1-year Scoville Warranty that the battery will last atleast one year.  Please note, after a battery is replaced the timepiece is not guaranteed to be water-resistant. The charge to replace most batteries is $12.00.

Do you have a warranty policy?

Scoville’s warranty policy is: we will repair or replace, without charge, any Scoville product which proves unsatisfactory due to material or workmanship.

Does Scoville’s offer in-house financing?

Yes, Scoville Jewelers uses Wells Fargo Bank as our house account. Scoville’s offers great financing with our American Gem Society card that  features 12 months financing with no interest charges. To find out more information on Scoville Jeweler charge accounts, please call 518-793-0151
